Definition

The Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship is a research fellowship offered to undergraduate students at Northwestern and other universities that are from historically underrepresented minority groups that are also interested in pursuing a PhD and teaching at the collegiate level one day. At Northwestern, there are 5 Fellows chosen for each cohort and the program is supported by the Office of the President.
