Description

Canvas is a cloud-hosted learning platform and management system that consolidates students’ courses, materials, and grades. Northwestern instructors typically upload course syllabus and resources relevant to the course. Instructors and students enrolled in the course have the ability to communicate with one another by sending messages within the Canvas inbox. Alerts regarding Canvas updates, uploads, or messages are generally forwarded to a student’s Northwestern linked email account.

Example Sentence

Student A: Hey, do you know what the Bio homework is? Student B: Yeah, the professor posted a worksheet on Canvas. He also just uploaded our last midterm grade there!
