[1] The seven stories are elevated above a level of garage parking, thus the building could be said to be in a "seven-plus-one" configuration, following Chicago's "four-plus-one" parlance. [2] This elevated configuration contributes to the buildings looming, floating presence, and could be one of the reasons why the building was dubbed a 'whale.'
