Description

An abbreviation of geophyte [gee o | fit], a geo refers to a member of the Greek organization who is a class before the most recently initiated class. In communities were the term geo is used, a newly initiated member is first considered a neo, then a geo, and finally an active.

Usage

The term is used in some organizations within the Multicultural Greek Council. It is used both in informal and formal contexts as well as in spoken word and written text.
