Conferrals are meetings between StuCo board members and co-chairs to determine the actors that will be in each production in the coming quarter. They primarily discuss actor preferences to resolve cast list decisions among the directors, producers, and stage managers. These meetings are generally short, and most conflicts are resolved with minimal difficulty. The theatre speech community uses conferrals, both written and spoken in informal social contexts on campus.
